April Scott, FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner | Rural Healthcare Advocate

A native of Cotton Valley, Louisiana, April has dedicated her life to compassionate, community-focused healthcare. Inspired by the example of her family members in the medical field, she began her nursing journey with an unwavering commitment to service. After graduating from North Webster High School, she pursued nursing with passion and purpose, ultimately earning her credentials as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

With over eight years of experience as a Registered Nurse, April has cultivated expertise across ICU, step-down, medical-surgical, and pediatric homecare settings. Today, she proudly serves as a provider with Springhill Medical Center, offering quality care in the rural communities that shaped her upbringing.

Beyond her clinical role, April is a devoted mother to two lively boys—Datraevion and Ahmari—who energize her every day. She treasures time spent with family, cheering from the sidelines at youth sports games, and growing in faith with her church family at Valley Peace Baptist Church in Cotton Valley.

Her mission is to empower patients through education, personalized care, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced in underserved areas. For April, nursing isn’t just a profession, it’s a calling.
