Springhill Medical Center Foundation Donates To ER Renovation

March 27, 2009 – Springhill Medical Center’s Foundation today donated $30,000 toward the renovation of the Emergency Room.  The $50,000 renovation is the first major renovation to the Emergency Room since it was originally built in the late 1970’s.  (Read More)

The i-STAT® Analyzer Provides Real-Time Results, Expedites Diagnosis and Treatment

 

Springhill, Louisiana, December 27, 2007: Springhill Medical Center announced Springhill Medical Center Foundations purchase and donation of a $9,000 i-STAT hand-held analyzer to help improve patient outcomes by providing lab-quality test results within minutes. Designed to expedite patient diagnosis and treatment, i-STAT analyzer performs a comprehensive panel of critical tests at the patient’s bedside using two or three drops of blood. Springhill Medical Center is using this Point of Care testing (POCT) device in all patient care areas including, ICU and ER where treatment decisions rely on fast test results.  (Read More)
