Who are the Board?
Springhill Medical Service's Board of Directors is made up of members of the community
as well as physicians. Board Members' backgrounds include Automotive Dealership President,
Bankers, Accountants, Veterinarian, Pharmacist and the current and former Mayors
of Cullen and Springhill, Louisiana.
History
In 2000 a group of business leaders were brought together by the late Greg Simmons
to create Springhill Medical Services, Inc. This group worked with the USDA to purchase
Springhill Medical Center from LifePoint Hospitals, Inc and bring the hospital back
into the community. Many members put up their own money to make this dream a reality.
Since that time those that used their own funds have been paid back, but have chosen
to stay on the Board because of their commitment to the hospital and the communities
it serves.
