General Information

Smoking Policy

Springhill Medical Center is committed to the promotion of health and safety. Smoking related illnesses comprise one of the largest proportions of preventable diseases. Therefore, Springhill Medical Center is standing by its commitment in providing, as close as possible, a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the hospital with the exception of the smoking deck on the east end of the hospital.  

Visitors

Visitors to Springhill Medical Center should check in at the main information desk located in the main lobby of the hospital. The main entrance doors are open to the public from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. After hours, guests are requested to enter the hospital through the Emergency Room entrance. Free parking is provided for all visitors. Visitor parking lots are located in the closest proximity to the building for your convenience.

Visitors in limited numbers are welcome and usually provide good therapy. Our primary objective is to maintain a controlled environment for your speedy recovery. This requires adequate rest. Therefore, we regulate the time of day you may receive visitors, their number and their length of stay. Good nursing care requires that no visitors be allowed in the room during treatment. Please help us enforce all visitor regulations that your physician has approved for your benefit.

General Visiting Hours

10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Children under the age of 12 are discouraged in patient areas. Any children visitting in the hospital must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please understand that children are more susceptible to illnesses, and they generally carry more communicable diseases.

Patients should have no more than two visitors at one time. Visitors should not sit on the beds or use the patient bathroom facilities. Anyone exhibiting signs of illness should not visit patients.

Public Restrooms & Phones

For your visitors' convenience, public restrooms and telephones are located in the Main Lobby.

Meal Schedules & Vending Area

Patients will receive their meals on the following schedule:
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Dinner: 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

*Patients' meals may be held or delayed due to lab tests, x-rays or surgery.

Weekday Cafeteria serving hours for your visitors and family members are as follows:
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
 

Weekend Cafeteria food service for your visitors and family members is limited to Sunday lunch starting at 11:30 am and ending at 1:00 pm.  Vending machines are located outside the cafeteria and near the Emergency Room entrance.
