Springhill Medical Center (“Springhill”) is committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals. Springhill’s notice of Privacy Practices regarding protected health information is contained under the compliance section of www.smccare.com (“Site”) .

As a visitor to the Site you are entitled to know Springhill’s privacy practices regarding information gathered or disseminated through the Site. Please review this policy carefully.

It is unnecessary for any user to submit any personal information to view the Site.

Like most Web sites, the Site utilizes "cookies" to help determine the browser that is used to access the Site as well as which portions of the Site you visit. The site logs IP addresses for assistance in identifying user’s service providers. This allows Springhill to improve the services we provide. Cookies and IP addresses are not used to identify individuals.

The Site may contain links to other Web sites which give you access to third-party material. Springhill is not responsible for the privacy practices of any other person or entity.

In some instances, Springhill offers users online registration for certain programs, events, and classes that may request personal information from you including your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

We may use your information to send you a confirmation of your registration with our site, to respond to questions from you, or to notify you if there is a problem with any registrations placed. We do not share this information with any other entity. In some instances a user may opt to donate to the Springhill Medical Center Foundation, the charges online will be processed through Springhill Medical Services, Inc.   The financial information that is transmitted for the payment goes directly to Springhill Medical Foundation and viewed only by the individual processing the payment.  Information is not archived or used by Springhill for purposes other than what is required to process the transaction.  

Information collected through Springhill Medical Center’s on-line application will only be seen by the HR department and the manager hiring for the position applied for.  If a position is not open at time of submission the application will be kept in the HR department of Springhill Medical Center for a period of 365 days.  After 365 days the application will be destroyed by shredding for protection of the individuals privacy.

Springhill does not intentionally share information with any unaffiliated third parties without the user’s consent. However, since information in electronic communications can sometimes be intercepted by a third party, Springhill cannot provide any assurance that the contents of your e-mail will not become known or accessible to third parties. Therefore, do not relay any confidential information through electronic mail.
